Bryan, CAPT Daniel - USN

Faculty Seminar Leader

Captain Dan Bryan has served in destroyers, frigates, amphibious ships, and a cruiser while operating in the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans.  Assignments ashore include U.S. Central Command (J3-O/Current Operations), the Navy Staff (OPNAV N85/Expeditionary Warfare Resourcing), U.S. Transportation Command (Military Sealift Command Strategic Sealift), and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (Peacekeeping and Stability Operations Policy).  Captain Bryan is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, the Naval Postgraduate School, and the National War College.  He joined the National War College faculty in 2017.   Dan joined the National War College faculty in 2017, serving as an Associate Dean during Academic Years 19 and 20. 

 FUNCTIONAL EXPERTISE:   Command at Sea, Surface Ship Operations, Strategic Sealift, and U.S. Peacekeeping Policy

REGIONAL EXPERTISE:  Dan has conducted academic field studies in Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey and visited more than 50 other countries.
