Colonel Daniel Hendrix joined the NWC as a member of the military faculty in July of 2019. He recently served at the Joint Improvised-threat Defeat Organization (JIDO) as Executive Officer to the Director and Chief of Training and Exercises. JIDO, now part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, helps warfighters adapt to battlefield surprise from IEDs, drones, and other improvised threats. Colonel Hendrix is a 2016 graduate of the National War College and 2011 graduate of the Naval Command and Staff College. He earned his first Masters from the University of Alabama in 2007 and his Bachelors from the Air Force Academy in 1999. He is an evaluator pilot in the EC-130H Compass Call with over 2,800 hours in that airframe and instructing in the T-44, and numerous deployments to Southwest Asia in support of Operations Inherent Resolve, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom and Southern Watch.
