Colonel Linda Jantzen joined the National War College faculty in 2016 from the Army Chief Information Officer/G-6 where she served as the Director of the Army Architecture Integration Center. She is a 1988 graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago where she was commissioned in the Army Signal Corps. She has served in a variety of command and staff assignments worldwide including Korea, Germany and Bosnia, as well as five combat tours in Operation Desert Storm (Saudi Arabia and Iraq 1991), Operation Restore Hope (Mogadishu, Somalia 1993), Operation Iraqi Freedom (2004 and 2007-09), and Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan 2012-14). Colonel Jantzen also served as a Fellow in the Office of Senator Barbara Mikulski and has three years of legislative liaison experience.
Colonel Jantzen is a graduate of the National War College class of 2010 and holds a Master of Science degree in Telecommunications Business and Technology Management from Michigan State University. Her awards include the Legion of Merit (2 oak leaf clusters), Meritorious Service Medal (3 oak leaf clusters), and the Bronze Star (2 oak leaf clusters).
