Colonel Bryan “Buzz” Wolford joined the NWC as military faculty in July 2017. He recently served as the Vice Commander, 31st Fighter Wing, at Aviano Air Base, Italy. Colonel Wolford received his commission through the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1993. He is a 2001 graduate of George Washington University and a 2013 graduate of the Eisenhower School. Colonel Wolford’s staff assignments include Division Chief of the Joint Staff, J-8, Force Protection; Legislative Liaison at the Pentagon; and Action Officer at Headquarters Air Combat Command. He commanded the 39th Operations Squadron at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, and he has over 1,900 flight hours in the F-16 with numerous deployments to Southwest Asia.
