Colonel Frank Samuelson joined the National War College military faculty in August 2018 from the Air War College where he instructed Leadership and Warfighting courses.  Col Samuelson is a 1992 graduate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and was commissioned through the Air Force ROTC program.  He has been awarded master’s degrees from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Air Command and Staff College, and Air War College.  He is a senior Air Battle Manager with over 2,000 hours in the E-3 AWACS.  His operational and staff assignments bring together experiences from Europe/NATO, Southwest Asia, Asia-Pacific, and CONUS.  He is a joint officer and has commanded at the squadron and group level.
