Colonel John Lee joined the NWC as a member of the military faculty in September 2020. He recently served as the Defense and Army Attaché at U.S. Embassy Seoul, Republic of Korea. Before becoming a Foreign Area Officer, Colonel Lee was originally commissioned as a Field Artillery Officer after graduating from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He has served in a variety of command and staff assignments, to include a combat tour in Iraq. Colonel Lee is a graduate of the Army War College and holds a Master’s in Asian Studies from the University of Washington and a Master’s in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
