Mr. David Husler – NSA

Chair, National Security Agency

Mr. David Husler joined the National War College in 2022 as the National Security Agency (NSA) Chair. A career Defense Intelligence Senior Level (DISL) leader, he brings with him over 25 years of experience in the intelligence community.

Most recently, Mr. Husler served as the Persian Curriculum Manager at the National Cryptologic University’s College of Language and Area Studies, where he created and led the enterprise-wide Persian Training Team. Prior to this assignment, he led NSA’s support to multiple IC and DOD efforts. Over the years, he has served in a variety of language, analytic, and management positions within the Directorate of Operations.  Throughout his career, he has combined his technical skills and ability to partner with others to create innovative solutions for hard problem sets.

Mr. Husler holds a Master of Science of Strategic Intelligence (MSSI) from the National Intelligence University and a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences from the University of Maryland University College.
