Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Franklin joined the NWC as a member of the military staff in June 2022. He recently served as the Plans Officer in the G-5 Section of the United States Army Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Before becoming a Logistics Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Franklin was commissioned as an Infantry Officer through the ROTC Program at Christopher Newport University in 2004. Lieutenant Colonel Franklin has served in a variety of command and staff assignments across the operational and institutional Army, to include four combat tours: Operation Iraqi Freedom (2008), Operation New Dawn (2011), Operation Enduring Freedom (2013), and Operation Inherent Resolve (2015). Lieutenant Colonel Franklin is a 2017 graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and holds a Master’s degree from Central Michigan University.
