Dannielle Andrews, a Senior Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State, is a Faculty Advisor at the U.S. National War College.

Before arriving at NWC, Dannielle was the Chief of the Economic Section at the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT). Her previous State Department assignments include serving as Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Office of Regional, Global, and Functional Affairs in the State Department’s Bureau of Congressional Affairs, Economic Chief in the Office of Chinese and Mongolian Affairs, the Senior Watch Officer in the Nuclear Risk Reduction Center, Political/Economic Chief at U.S. Consulate General Shenyang, Economic Officer at U.S. Embassy, Brasilia, Brazil, Staff Assistant in the Bureau of Economic Affairs, and Economic Officer in U.S. Embassy, Accra, Ghana.

Prior to joining the State Department, she was a researcher and client relations officer for various macroeconomic research firms in California and a financial officer at the law firm of Orrick, Herrington, and Sutcliffe. Dannielle has also worked extensively as a volunteer in Taiwan, Brazil, China, and Ghana.

She received her undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and a graduate degree from the University of Texas, in Austin, Texas. She was a Distinguished Graduate of the National War College in 2017, earning a Master of Science in National Security Strategy and a certification in Cyber Security from the College of Information and Cyber Space at the National Defense University. Her foreign languages include Portuguese, Chinese, Russian, and Spanish.
