Col Heather Fox – USAF

Colonel Heather Fox, USAF, joined the NWC as military faculty in July 2022.  She was previously the Commander of the 9th Reconnaissance Wing at Beale AFB, CA.  Colonel Fox received her commission through the United States Air Force Academy in 2000.  She was a MIT Seminar XXI Fellow, and holds three Master of Arts degrees as a graduate of the Eisenhower School for National Resource Strategy; King’s College, London; and the American Public University.  Colonel Fox’s staff assignments include as an exchange officer to the United Kingdom in the RAF’s Strategy Division; the Joint Staff, J-33 Reconnaissance Operations; and speech writer for Gen Dunford, 19th CJCS.  She commanded the 9th Operations Group at Beale AFB, and the 99th Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron at Al Dhafra AB, UAE.  Col Fox has over 2400 flight hours in the U-2, T-38A, and RQ-4; multiple deployments across Southwest Asia; and has published on the Chinese economy in Strategic Studies Quarterly.
