Intern

Alexander M. Bergh is a first-year Master’s student at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. He is studying International Security and Homeland Security. Mr. Bergh comes to the National War College from the Institute for the Study of War where he served on the Institute’s Russia portfolio during the early months of the Russian Invasion of Ukraine. He also served two sessions at the Colorado House of Representatives as a legislative intern for the Speaker of the House of Representatives and Chair of the Health and Insurance Committee. Bergh graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Political Science with Magna cum Laude honors and departmental distinction from the University of Denver. Upon graduation, He is hoping to serve in the Department of State as a Foreign Service Officer where he aspires to engage with counter-narcotics and peacebuilding missions in the Balkans. He speaks French, Russian, and Serbian. Besides national security, Bergh is passionate about traveling, excercising, and spending time with his family and friends.
