Ms. Olivia Wee

Intern

Ms. Olivia Wee joined the National War College in the summer of 2023. Olivia attends Claremont McKenna College where she is a McKenna Scholar and a member of the class of 2025. She is Majoring in Government and intends to also major in Russian and Eastern European Studies through her college's relationship with Pomona College

In 2020, Ms. Wee was selected as a Girl Security Scholar and wrote and presented a research paper on the threat of Russian hybrid warfare to Estonia. She also received a Virtual National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) merit scholarship from the U.S. Department of State to study Russian language and culture, and recently studied in Latvia with NSLI-Y Alumni Travel Program. In addition, she won first place in the high school division of Girl's Security x International Security essay contest with her submission, "How the U.S. Withdrawal from Afghanistan Could be a Russian Propaganda Win".

In the summer of 2022, Ms. Wee was selected as a Leadership Scholar by The Fund for American Studies and served as an intern for the Foreign Policy Magazine. At her college, she has served as a Senator for Associated Students of Claremont McKenna College, a Women in Security Scholar and a research assistant for the Gould Center for Humanistic Studies' War in Ukraine Social Engagement Project.

Ms. Wee currently serves as a member of the American Enterprise Institute Executive Council and President of Every Vote Counts (EVC) Claremont, the Claremont Colleges Consortium chapter of EVC, and Director of Voter Engagement at Every Vote Counts National, a student-led, non-partisan organization dedicated to increase voter turnout and voter access nationwide.
