Mr. Wesley Cline joined the National War College in the fall of 2023 as a research intern. He is a recent graduate from Gettysburg College with a B.A. in History (Magna Cum Laude) with minors in Civil War Era Studies and Classical Studies. He attended the University of Oxford as a visiting student in 2022. Wesley has been inducted into both Phi Alpha Theta and Omicron Delta Kappa, national honor societies for history and leadership, respectively. The majority of his work has centered on military history, often at the operational level, and temporally on the American Civil War and Imperial Rome. Wesley has previous work experience as a research assistant in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, a research fellow at the Gettysburg College Civil War Institute, and several research positions for individual professors and organizations. Wesley is currently a graduate student at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, where he is pursuing an M.A. in Security Studies.
