Ms. Natalie McCarthy

Research Intern

Ms. Natalie McCarthy joins the National War College in the Fall of 2023. She is an undergraduate student at American University’s School of Public Affairs studying Justice & Law with a concentration in Terrorism and Security Studies. Ms. McCarthy will graduate from her school’s Honors Program in December 2023 with her Bachelors and a certificate in Advanced Leadership Studies.

Her academic focus has centered around domestic radicalization, terrorism, and non-conventional warfare. Natalie has previous academic experience as a research assistant at the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START), a researcher and writer for the European Army Interoperability Center (FINABEL), and is currently working with faculty to complete her Honors research capstone. 

Ms. McCarthy has additional work experience interning with the Yale Police Department and the Department of Defense.
