Col Lee Rush – USMC

Chair, US Marine Corps

Colonel Rush joined the National War College in July 2024 as the Marine Corps Chair and an Associate Professor after serving in the same capacity at The Dwight D. Eisenhower School. His previous assignment was as the Director of Marine Corps Programs and Congressional Appropriations for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy, FM&C. Prior to that, he was the Commanding Officer of the Marine Corps Officer Candidates School in Quantico, Virginia. He has held instructor positions at the U.S. Army Armor Center and served multiple tours as a Combat Advisor. An Armor and Light Armor Reconnaissance Officer, Colonel Rush has served in various command and staff assignments at the tactical and operational levels in the Fleet Marine Forces, as well as at the strategic levels within the Service Headquarters and Joint Staff. He is a 2017 graduate of the National War College, where he earned a Master of Science in National Security Strategy.
