Ms. Alícia Isasi

Ms. Alícia Isasi joined NWC in the summer of 2025 as a research intern. She is a junior at Vanderbilt University studying Economics and Public Policy with a concentration in International and Foreign Policy. She serves as Editor in Chief of the Vanderbilt Political Review and researches bureaucratic repression in Argentina and Bolivian political deaths in Vanderbilt’s Lab for Research on Conflict and Collective Action (ROCCA). Her research interests include China’s growing influence and infrastructure-building initiatives in Latin America, Latin American politics, economic tools of war, and the U.S. national debt crisis. At NWC, Alícia hopes to improve her research skills and learn from professors with diverse expertise to deepen her understanding of national security. Outside of NWC, she enjoys hiking, playing volleyball, and baking.
