Mr. Griffin Hood joined the NWC as a research intern in Fall 2025. He is a second-year master’s student at American University’s School of International Service, where he is studying United States Foreign Policy and National Security. He previously graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in History and spent over 5 years as an IT systems administrator. His research interests are focused on U.S.-China strategic competition and the emerging role of cyber conflict in international relations. At NWC, he hopes to further develop his research skills and learn from the many distinguished faculty. Outside of NWC, he enjoys being outdoors, running, and spending time with his basset hound and cat.
