Dr. Bradley J. McAllister is a Professor of National Security Studies at the National War College and a specialist in insurgency, terrorism, and state responses to internal violence. Dr McAllister is the director for the War College’s foundational course in Strategic Logic and directs the War College’s concentration in Counterterrorism. Prior to joining the Faculty at NWC, Dr. McAllister was an intelligence officer focusing on insurgent behavior, tactics, and strategy. Before joining the US Government, Dr. McAllister was a lecturer in International Affairs at the University of Georgia and a Research Fellow in Terrorism Studies at the University of St Andrews in the United Kingdom. His specialization is in the organization of rebel groups, the strategies of rebellion from the insurgent perspective, and counterterrorism as grand strategy.
